2027 MAQ EDUCATIONAL RETREAT
Registration Opens March 6, 2027
Registration for the 2027 Mid-Appalachian Quilters Educational Retreat will open on March 6, 2027, at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time.
We're looking forward to welcoming you to another inspiring retreat filled with creativity, learning and community.

Before You Begin
Before starting your registration, take a few minutes to explore the workshop programme and decide which classes you'd most like to attend.
Classes are typically six hours long, and participants can choose three classes over the course of the retreat. Some multi-day workshops are also available and must be booked for their complete duration.

HOW TO REGISTER
How Registration Works
1. Choose Your Workshops
Review the programme, workshop complexity, preparation requirements, supply lists and any additional class fees.
2. Choose Your Accommodation
If you're staying on campus, select your preferred housing option during registration.
3. Complete Your Registration
Use the online registration form to submit your workshop, accommodation and retreat selections.
4. Check Your Email
Once your registration has been successfully completed, you'll receive a confirmation email.
WORKSHOP FEES
Understanding Workshop Costs
Your MAQ class registration contributes towards event costs, including instructor fees.
Some workshops may also have additional charges for materials, patterns, kits or specialist supplies. These fees are set by individual instructors and are shown clearly within the workshop information.
Where an additional fee is payable directly to your instructor, this will be stated on the workshop page.
WAITING LISTS & CHANGES
This is important information from their current registration system.
Need to Change Your Registration?
If you need to request a change to your classes, accommodation or roommate arrangements after registering, please use the registration change form.
Your First-Choice Workshop Is Full?
If you're unable to register for your first-choice class, register for your preferred alternative and then submit the workshop waiting-list form.
If a place becomes available, the MAQ team can then contact you.

Get Ready for MAQ
Once your place is confirmed, it's time to start preparing for your retreat.
Watch Your Inbox
Look out for MAQ newsletters and important information leading up to the event.
Prepare Your Supplies
Review your workshop supply lists and start gathering everything you'll need. Instructors may also contact participants before the retreat.
Make Your Lottery Blocks
Take part in MAQ's annual Lottery Block activity and bring your completed blocks to the retreat.
Get Ready to Walk!
Gettysburg College is a walking campus, so MAQ recommends getting accustomed to some extra walking ahead of the event.
Cancellations & Refunds
MAQ makes financial commitments to Gettysburg College and participating instructors in advance of the retreat. As a result, a tiered cancellation and refund policy applies.
Membership dues are non-refundable. Refund eligibility for classes, meals and accommodation depends on when a cancellation is received.
